View of Lake Suchitlan from the Pajaro Flor Spanish school. I studied 4 hours in the morning daily with my teacher Magdalena. Falling mangos kept us looking upward.

La escuela el Pajaro Flor. Flower Bird School. This is a great school with strong links to the local community. They happen to have a contract with the Japanese government. Japanese volunteers study in the school before beginning a 2 year post in El Salvador. We had the chance to talk (in Spanish) to some of these students about moving to Japan. They were very friendly.

A little store with my name.

Indy and Jo walking towards the central park. The church can be seen in the background.

This afternoon Indy was really focused on his shadow, and mine. I snapped this picture at just the right moment.

Food vendor selling fried foods.

One of many chickens that lived at the house we stayed in during our week in Suchitoto. This one lived inside while keeping its eggs warm. 7 eggs hatched later that week.

We stayed with a very warm, loving family. This is the front of their house. They took care of Indigo while Jodi and I studied Spanish at Pajaro Flor school.

Semana Santa procession through the streets in severe heat. The processioners slowly walk honoring the 12 stations of Jesus Cristo the day he died.

Suchitoto cathedral with full moon.

Relishing our travel time. And the fact that El Salvador marks our last country of central america visited.

Sunset. Which equalled relief from the heat. It was HOT.

Indigo James at almost exactly 3 1/2 years. He spent many hours in the pool at 2 hotels in Suchitoto, El Salvador over semana santa.
