back home in MPLS

We are adjusting and adapting to living in the states. Indigo is dealing well with all the changes. Jodi and I are dealing with the stresses of it all pretty well. My health sucks at the moment. I will go to urgent care today to get meds to annihilate the dark green-yellow mucus that inhabits my chest and sinuses currently. Our goal of purchasing a condo here in Bloomington is in peril. The bank is being über strict about issuing loans after the sub-prime mortgage fiasco/catastrophe/meltdown/shit storm. We are both sick of waiting to find out...it has been at least 3 weeks already of waiting for the official answer. Yesterday we found out from Heidi at W.F. that our lone was declined by the first underwriter...but now the application goes on for another review. What a pain in the ass. The whole entire deal could go either way, and we are fine with that. As long as we have a place to sleep, can visit our people and mountain bike frequently, we will be happy.

The boy had a good time with grandma and grandpa Peterson yesterday. They had a sleep over Monday night. When we arrived Indy gave grandpa a really big hug and was genuinely excited to be visiting G & G. It is wonderful to see the 3 of them bonding...despite the fact that Indigo is still mostly speaking Spanish with them. He is gradually using more and more English. The transition will take some time. But I predict by the end of June/beginning of July the two languages will balance out.
