big bad bronze buddha hike

This past Sunday we ventured by train 2 hours away to a place called Kamakura. It is known for being home to some 60 Zen buddhist temples, and the great Buddha (daibutsu). The weather was gorgeous...warm fall like weather. We love being in fall! It has been a few years. Our friends Monica and Trent invited us for this little adventure. They were great company and we feel the friendship growing. Indy was a trooper and rocked the hiking course. Unexpectedly we hiked a really cool trail through Kamarua for over an hour. Enjoy the pictures.

The photos are wonderful. I like the line up with local kids all giving the "peace" with Chris and Indy. Interesting puzzel about the meaning and use of the wooden tags!
