We awoke to rain and wind this morning. I've biked a few times to school in the rain already which is not very enjoyable. I decided to walk it, for the first time, to have cover from an umbrella. I underestimated the power of the wind. My umbrella folded back 4 times and my feet were soaked by the end of my 25 minute walk. It felt like walking through a typhoon.
On a different subject...I'm sad to report that the swine flu has affected our school. Presently two of my colleagues in the bilingual program have it. Plus a number of students in various grades. We three are doing our best to stay healthy.
