One hour south on a local train and we arrived in Shizuoka to see the city and Daidogei Street Performers Festival. It was our first time there. The city is markedly more cosmopolitan than our sleepy city of Numazu. The performers were very entertaining. And so was the people watching. The event was packed. Tonight Indy was jumping around dancing and running back and forth between his toy boxes...it took us a moment to realize he was giving us his own version of street performances. It was awesome! What a hoot he can be! Apparently the festival has made a lasting impression on him.
This guy took himself very seriously.
Soba noodle sandwich. Yum! Looks wierd. But tasted good.
This kid was great. Really funny! And we couldn't even understand what he was saying in Japanese. He had an iPod with a wrist worn remote...he had carefully mixed a sound track for his performance that last about 15 minutes. This including the balancing act finale you see in this photo.
