Indy and I set off for Yugawara this afternoon. 15 minutes cycling to Numazu station. Three stops later we were in Atami. Switched trains and one stop later we arrived in Yugawara. Last we hopped in a taxi and drove up the steep hill to Dr. Bostwick's mountain side home. Travel time was about an hour and a half.
Once there the house was packed with guests. The table was stocked with multiple turkeys and loads of other traditional Thanksgiving carbs. The one out of place offering was yuka soba...a tasty noodle dish. The twist to it all was eating the very traditional meal with chopsticks. It seemed pretty normal actually.
