"Yis!"

We think Indy is picking up bits of his teacher's accent. He has two teachers. One is Japanese. The other, Sonya is Australian. So the little guy not only has to keep his Spanish, Japanese and English accents straight, but now he hears English in two different accents! These days he says "yes" more like it is "yis". I've noticed my Australian and Kiwi colleagues at Gyoshu do the same. It is quite cute.

Indy's language is growing and growing in the start of his 4th year. Yesterday after cycling with Trent I called home and Indy answered the phone...he picked up and said "Hi Papa!" We then had a dialogue about his day that lasted a few minutes. He went to the park. He climbed on the monkey bars. He played with his friend Gabe. It was really fun and made me realize how rapidly he is acquiring language. Faster than ever.

Around the house he has started saying, "I have an idea!" And then he goes on and on and on. During his waking hours he talks without reprieve. It can be exhausting!
