First blog from our corner of Japan

I circled Numazu and Mt. Fuji on the map. It takes about 2 hours by train to Tokyo. One hour if you pay extra to ride the bullet train. We've only passed through Tokyo after our flight here. We hope to go soon. On a clear day you can see Mt. Fuji no problem. The summer heat has made it very hazy so we have seen the sacred volcano a handful of times. We've biked to the port a couple times...it is maybe 3 or 4 miles from our house and takes about 20 minutes to get there. The roads are tight and loaded with traffic lights.

This video was shot from our front stoop. These high school kids were practicing non-stop nearly for our first 2 or 3 weeks here. There have been several all day 8 hour practices. I asked our friend Kaori what all the moaning is about. She explained it is to release their energy and keep them relaxed, and also as a "bring it on"kinda thing to the batters.
