Our lovely little home.
Tea field in town. This is just around the corner from our house. It is common also to find rice paddies/fields around town as well.
Tatami mats. We have tatami in two of the three rooms in our house. They are beautiful and have a smooth texture. They are made of straw and have a peculiar smell that we have grown accustomed to. Or else the smell has faded. They were brand new when we moved in. This is typical I've been told.
